After the Kickstarter

Welcome Photon Warriors to the new home of Let There Be Light: Photon and the Birth, Life, and Legacy of Laser Tag. Rather than continue to spam laser tag groups with updates on the film, I figure this is the best way to keep fans informed about the status of the film, what you can expect, and how you can help.

So lets take some time and review the events of the last few weeks.

First, thank you to everyone who supported our Kickstarter by contributing or sharing it. We doubled our initial goal, and I was just blown away by the messages of support I received from so many of you. I’m amazed at how much love there still is for Photon, and how much faith you have in me and my team. I can assure you, your donations will go to good use.

Secondly, I wanted to thank everyone who made our trip to Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio so successful. I’m sorry that my time was limited. If we didn’t get an opportunity to interview you, please let me know if you are still interested. If there is enough interest, I will make another trip out to Kentucky.

Next, I am happy to report that the film has two new Executive Producers. I’ll let them introduce themselves in the future, but Melissa Peltier has a long history in film and television, and Brian Martin is a filmmaker and avid Photon Warrior. I’m thrilled to have both of them as part of the team.

Finally, in the coming weeks, we hope to start player interviews in Baltimore before departing for Dallas in early November. The trip to Dallas will be limited on time, but we are hopeful going to be able to manage our time well enough to be able to interview some players and staff along with George Carter III himself. More details will follow about our trip to Dallas in the next few weeks.

If you haven’t had a chance to see it, check out our glimpse at some of the footage shot during our trip to Louisville, Kentucky.

Also, if you didn’t get a chance to donate during the Kickstarter but would like to get in now, click on the donate tab at the top of the page. You can donate there and still get the original Kickstarter rewards!

Thank you again, and expect an update soon.
